Knowledge-sharing workshop in Skoplje within the Cross-Border Heritage Bridgeproject

The second peer-to-peer experience exchange workshop on the topic of archaeological heritage protection within the Cross-Border Heritage Bridge project was successfully implemented. The Serbian Archaeological Society in cooperation with the Macedonian Archaeological Association hosted over 20 colleagues from two countries – North Macedonia and Serbia, among whom were employed colleagues from the culture and protection sector, as well as students. The workshop took place at the National Archaeological Museum of North Macedonia in Skoplje. Over the course of the three-day workshop, the participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and difficulties in the protection of archaeological heritage in their countries, to learn how to make 3D models with the help of a mobile device, and to consider how to establish or improve institutionalized protocols to combat illegal trade in archaeological heritage.

More details about the workshop, as well as practical guidance, will be available through the Handbook, which is currently under development and will be available in the autumn.
